Comlongon Castle
A 15th century Baronial castle equidistant between Gretna and Dumfries, the four star Comlongon Castle transports guests back to the medieval ages, coupled with a selection of cosy luxuries.
Each of the suites features a grand four-poster bed, as well as en suite facilities. Individually themed and decorated, the rooms also come with tea and coffee making facilities, digital flat-screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi.
On site, guests can tuck into meals at a choice of two oak-panelled restaurants. For large events, such as weddings, the castle staff put on huge banquets in the Great Hall, which features stone carved corbels and a large, rustic fireplace.
Steeped in history, the castle boasts displays of armour, weapons and banners. Entertainment, from clay shooting to fireworks, can also be organised for events.
