The Hotel

A regal Victorian building, the Hallmark Hotel blends into its historic surrounds fronting onto Carlisle’s central Court Square. From the hotel, visitors can explore Carlisle Castle and Hadrian’s Wall, while the glassy waters, mountain trails, and adventures activities of the Lake District are around a 30-minute drive away.

Meanwhile, a trip to Scotland is not out of the question, with Gretna Green a 21 minute drive away, and Dumfries a further 30 minutes on.

  • Refurbished for modern travellers, all 70 guest bedrooms are equipped with en suite facilities, flat screen TVs, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary Wi-Fi.

  • In the brasserie and wine bar, there is a relaxed and cosy atmosphere where culinary options such as afternoon tea and elaborate three-course meals are served.

  • The hotel is located opposite Carlisle train station, or for those arriving by car, there is limited parking in the hotel car park.
