The Hotel

Travellers may take a closer look at the town’s historic legacy by paying a visit to the Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah Museum, which conceals a glimmering horde of jewels, costumes, carpets, and instruments within a traditional Moroccan riad. Further on, tourists may head to Old Medina, a well-preserved fortress walled by several gates that still endure the passing of time. Here, within the stone ramparts and turrets, time seems to have ceased to flow, as the town still keeps its original aspect after hundreds of years. Other intriguing sites can be found at the rustic woodcarving workshops of Skala de la Ville, where a romantic sunset can be admired while listening to the cries of the seagulls over the waves. Essaouira has an arid climate with hot summers, warm to cool winters, and hot springs and autumns. In spring as well as in autumn, temperatures reach 28°C, while rain may also appear occasionally during these seasons. Summers are characterised by excessive heat, blue skies and lack of rain, with temperatures reaching 37°C in July, while the winter nights are very cold and daily temperatures reach 20°C.
