Groupon’s Guide to Krynica
Called the “Pearl of Polish Spas”, Krynica was mentioned in 1547 as a place with mineral springs, and is now one of the most popular spa destinations in Poland. The development as a resort arose in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, under the leadership of former physician and mayor Jozef Dietl, known as the “father of Polish balneology”.
Apart from the spas, the resort offers a wide range of attractions, such as many Catholic and Orthodox Churches, the Trinkhalle Slotwinka, and the museum in the “Willa Romanowka”. Nature lovers may set off to discover the landscape of the Poprad Mountains or take the gondola to reach the ski and snowboard slopes.
