Chur, Switzerland's oldest city, welcomes you with its historic charm, well-preserved architecture, and access to picturesque Alpine landscapes for hiking and exploration. In Zermatt, the iconic Matterhorn mountain dominates the scenery, offering opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts with activities like hiking, skiing, and a car-free environment. Geneva, a cosmopolitan hub, boasts international organizations, cultural attractions, and the stunning Lake Geneva. Each city presents a unique facet of Switzerland, from Chur's historical allure to Zermatt's natural grandeur and Geneva's cosmopolitan vibrancy. The Itinerary

  • 3 Nights
    • Day 1: Fly from London to Zurich and board a train to reach Chur, where you will stay for the night. If you travel from Manchester, Edinburgh or Bristol you will fly to Geneva and catch a train to Chur and stay overnight.
    • Day 2: Board the Glacier Express from Chur to Zermatt where you will spend the night.
    • Day 3: Take train from Zermatt to Geneva where you will have the day to spend at your leisure and stay overnight.
    • Day 4: Fly back from Geneva to London, Manchester, Edinburgh, or Bristol.

From Chur, an Alpine city in eastern Switzerland, the Bernina Express train crosses the Alps into Italy. Winding streets in the car-free old town lead to the 13th-century, three-naved Cathedral of the Assumption. Visitors can experience the Brambrüesch aerial cableway which ascends to a plateau with trails, panoramic views and winter ski slopes.

Zermatt is a resort town in the canton of Valais in Switzerland, appreciated for the backdrop of the Matterhorn. It is best known for its skiing opportunities: snow sports aficionados can explore Sunnegga, Gornergrat, Klein Matterhorn and Schwarzsee.

Zermatt is also a favorite of hikers who enjoy the good challenge of an Alpine route, such as Patrouille des Glaciers and Haute Route. The highest open-air railway in Europe is located here, crossing over Gornergrat.

Geneva is worth a detour on foot on the shores of Lake Geneva to admire the 140-meter-high water jet, the Pont du Mont-Blanc, the alleys of the old town, the Place du Port or the Place Neuve. Architecture lovers can admire Saint-Pierre Cathedral and Calvin's auditorium, the Palais des Nations or the Brunswick Monument. On the window-shopping side, the Grottes district is home to several shops and a series of residential buildings called “Les Schtroumpfs”, with their Gaudian appearance.

Transportation details:

Valid for flights from London Stansted (STN), London Gatwick (LGW), London Luton (LTN), Manchester (MAN), Edinburgh (EDI), Bristol (BRS) to Zurich / Geneva (ZRH/GVA) with return flights from Geneva (GVA).
Travel documents to be received up to 1 day before departure. You must go with your boarding pass printed to the airport, at the risk of having to pay additional charges.
