The Experience

During this 12-day adventure, travellers will have a chance to explore the cities and countryside of Nepal and admire the magnificence of the Himalayas. The tour begins in Kathmandu in the south of the country, while further trek departs from Pokhara and heads towards Sarangkot, the village located on the top of the mountain. Holidaymakers will also discover the gems of Nepal while travelling from place to place by an air-conditioned coach and listening to the English-speaking guide while on city tours. Experiences such as nature walking and jeep safari in Chitwan as well as canoeing on the Rapti River are also included, alongside with local dance shows and visits to the Nepalese restaurants to enjoy some authentic cuisine. Guests will be accommodated in Hotel Rama Inn in Kathmandu, Hotel Mount View in Pokhara, Jungle Crowne in Chitwan, and Bhangeri Durbar in Nagarkot, or in similar hotels. Additionally, the teahouse or lodge accommodation will be offered.

The Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

  • Arrive in Kathmandu and meet and greet the tour representative at the airport; be transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay

Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing

  • Embark on an optional flight to see the Mount Everest from the bird’s eye perspective (available at an extra cost of £199 per person, including airport transfers)
  • Explore the Kathmandu Valley, visit the local temples such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudnath Stupa and Pashupatinath and get to know their history while listening to an English-speaking guide
  • Stay overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu

Day 3: Kathmandu to Pokhara

  • Travel to Pokhara by an air-conditioned tourist coach; discover the banks of the River Trisuli and admire scenic views of Nepal’s countryside on the way; in the afternoon explore the Pokhara city which is a gateway to the Himalayas
  • Alternatively, head to Pokhara by plane at an additional cost of £140 per person including to and from airport transfers

Day 4: Pokhara sightseeing

  • Spend the day exploring Pokhara with an English-speaking guide; visit the sites such as Few Lake, Gupteswar Mahadev, and David’s Fall
  • Stay overnight at the hotel in Pokhara

Day 5: Pokhara to Sarangkot

  • Hike up through hills and forests to the village of Sarangkot (approximate altitude 1600 meters) for an overnight stay; explore the village before resting in the lodge
  • Those who do not wish to hike have the option of a complimentary road transfer to Sarangkot

Day 6: Sarangkot to Pokhara

  • Enjoy a sunrise in Sarangkot; after breakfast hike back to Pokhara admiring the scenery on the way
  • In the evening, take a walk to the lakeside restaurant to enjoy some Nepalese cuisine; stay overnight in Pokhara

Day 7: Pokhara to Chitwan

  • Head to Chitwan National Park by an air condition tourist coach
  • On arrival, check into a wildlife lodge and have a short briefing for the Chitwan stay; in the evening have a rest and relax

Day 8: Chitwan activities

  • Spend the day exploring the national park and engage in plenty of activities, such as nature walking, jeep safari and canoeing on the Rapti River
  • In the evening, watch a traditional cultural dance known as Tharu Stick Dance Show
  • Stay overnight at the hotel

Day 9: Chitwan to Kathmandu

  • Travel back to Kathmandu by an air-conditioned tourist coach; on arrival be picked up and transferred to the hotel
  • Alternatively, upgrade the transfer to Kathmandu to a 45-minute flight available at an additional cost of £125 per person including to and from airport transfers

Day 10: Kathmandu to Nagarkot

  • Head to Nagarkot; en route visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, one of the oldest cities in the Kathmandu Valley famous for the old Royal Palace, Nyathapola Temple and Datatriya temple’s exquisite artwork
  • Enjoy Nagarkot’s view of the Himalayas and discover the local area on foot
  • Stay overnight at the hotel in Nagarkot

Day 11: Nagarkot to Kathmandu

  • See a spectacular sunrise over the Himalaya Mountains; after breakfast, spend some time at leisure before travelling back to Kathmandu

Day 12: Final departure

  • After breakfast, be dropped to the airport for the final journey back home

Passport: a passport valid for a minimum of 6 months after the validation date of your visa is required.
