The Cruise

Explore the gems of Montenegro and Croatia on a seven-night cruise with 4 hours of sailing per day. The boat houses six cabins, each featuring a double bed and wardrobe as well as a private en suite bathroom with a shower cubicle and a hairdryer. Bed linen and bathroom and beach towels are changed midweek. Travellers can socialise in the communal lounge which has a TV, DVD player and Hi-Fi stereo system, enjoy a drink at the bar which stays open till 11pm, or sunbathe on the sun loungers, while awnings help hide from the sun when needed. An ice maker and drinking water is provided on demand. Air con works 4 hours a day, while WI-Fi can be used when available (not suitable for streaming, but fine for checking emails, etc.) Cruisers can enjoy water sports and fishing with the on-board equipment, including a tender for up to six passengers at a time, snorkelling equipment, two main canoes and fishing gear. The safety equipment includes fire extinguishers, alarm system, life vests and a life raft. When the weather permits, the gulet raises its sails, so holidaymakers can enjoy the peaceful tranquility of cruising the Adriatic.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Sunday - Tivat:

  • Boarding in the Bay of Kotor and a welcome drink
  • Leisurely-paced journey over to Porto Montenegro marina, home to some of the biggest and most expensive yachts in the world
  • Moor for the night at the town of Tivat in the heart of the Boka Bay
  • Leisure time for travellers to explore the town or take a short stroll to Porto Montenegro and visit one of the many fine restaurants and designer shops
  • Overnight stay on board in Tivat
  • Dinner on board included

Day 2 - Monday - Cavtat:

  • Setting sail from Tivat early in the morning, we cruise to the Croatian border at Cavtat
  • Formalities out of the way, it’s on to Cavtat’s beautiful bay, lined with waterfront restaurants, cobbled streets and narrow stairways; art lovers will appreciate the work of Vlaho Bukovac whose former home is now a gallery
  • Overnight on board in Cavtat
  • Breakfast and lunch on board included

Day 3 - Tuesday - Mljet (Okuklje):

  • Today we leave Cavtat and sail to one of the most enticing of the Adriatic islands
  • Mljet is a beautiful island covered by forests and dotted by fields, vineyards and small villages. The northern part of the island contains the Mljet National Park, rich in natural vegetation, pine forests, lakes and eye-catching scenery. The monastery of St Mary rests in the middle of the bay and is another great place to visit
  • Overnight stay in Mljet

Day 4 - Wednesday - Sipan:

  • Today we sail from Miljet to the beautiful Elaphiti Islands. We will see stunning views of the many Croatian islands as we sail down the coast
  • The day will be spent exploring the often deserted small bays of these lush, verdant islands with ample time for a swim (weather permitting)
  • Along the way, cruisers will enjoy a half-day visit to the uninhabited islet of Jakljan for a peaceful afternoon and then evening on the island of Sipan, the largest of the Elaphite Islands
  • Overnight stay on board in Sipan

Day 5 - Thursday - Dubrovnik:

  • We have a short sail back from Sipan to Dubrovnik where, along the way, travellers will spend half a day at Lopud, the second largest of the Elaphiti Islands
  • After arriving at the UNESCO World Heritage site - Dubrovnik - a city tour will uncover one of the world’s most beautiful towns, a walled wonder that has been welcoming traders and visitors for hundreds of years. Enjoy a stroll around the charming car-free old town, packed with aristocratic palaces, baroque churches and medieval fortifications
  • Overnight stay on board in Dubrovnik
  • Breakfast and lunch on board included

Day 6 - Friday - Kotor:

  • From one medieval town to another, today we sail from Dubrovnik to the historic Kotor. The town is one of the best-preserved medieval old towns of the Adriatic and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take a walk up the steep city walls that snake their way over the mountainside for magnificent views of the bay, or enjoy a leisurely stroll through the winding lanes and charming squares that make up the old town
  • The Bay of Kotor is dubbed Europe’s southernmost fjord and the setting is magical: a beautiful bay fringed with mountains, yachts bobbing in the port, swimmers in the clear blue waters and fine Venetian-era buildings stay
  • Overnight stay on board in the Bay of Kotor

Day 7 - Saturday - Perast:

  • After a short sail across Kotor Bay, we will stop at the picturesque waterfront town of Perast. This medieval waterfront village of pretty winding lanes backed by forested mountains is another UNESCO World Heritage site
  • Cruisers can take one of the water taxis to visit the man-made Our Lady of the Rocks island church with its collection of paintings by Montenegrin master Tripo Kokolja. Perast is one of the favourite places amongst visitors to Montenegro, perfect for the last night of our cruise
  • Overnight stay on board in Perast

Day 8 - Sunday morning - Tivat:

  • Enjoy the final early morning breakfast in the Bay of Kotor before disembarking
  • Breakfast on board is included
