The Experience
Visitors are invited to take part in a unique experience which happens during the night in the Northern Hemisphere. A scenic colour spectrum will appear on the sky in the form of the Northern Lights encompassing different shapes, proportions and patterns. This event is visible on clear nights from September to April.

The Itinerary
- Guests are asked to gather before the flight for an illustrated, 60 minute presentation about the night sky and the Northern Lights by the guest astronomers. After that, they will board the aircraft for the flight in search of the Northern Lights.
- The flight will last for about 3 hours. Guests will head northwards, as directly as possible, usually over Aberdeen and the Shetland Isles to a point in the North Atlantic between the UK and Icelandic airspace.
- During the flight, the cabin lights will be dimmed and passengers will be required to rotate seats so that everyone will have a window seat at various times throughout the flight. The astronomers will also be on board, guiding onlookers through a star-studded sky.
Please note: The dimming of lights may mean an almost total black out and a very dark cabin. Cabin and aircraft navigation light intensity is at the sole discretion of the captain.
The Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon which cannot be guaranteed to occur during the flight. The intensity and brightness of the Northern Lights can vary from a gentle glow to curtaining effects.

Booking:
Must book within 7 days from voucher purchase. Booking required by phone: 0152 477 2012.
Agent must be contacted via booking form or with contact details advised in fine print within 48 hours from the time the voucher is purchased. Confirmations will be sent out within 7 working days from the days the booking is complete with the agent.
No modification or cancellation allowed after booking confirmation. Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable once confirmed. Limit 1 voucher per person.
Limitations:
Wi-Fi not available on flight. Pets not permitted.
Validity period depends on option purchased (date and number of nights).
Please note: a passport is not obligatory for this flight, although you and each member of your party will require some form of personal identification which includes a photograph of yourself (e.g. a driving licence or passport).
Regrettably Omega Holidays cannot be held responsible for the non-appearance of Pete Lawrence or any of the other named astronomers and no refunds will be given in this event.
Although at this time no changes are expected, Omega Holidays reserves the right to amend any of the flight times or departure dates, if required.
Important note: the Northern Lights are natural phenomena which cannot be guaranteed to occur during the flight, although they have been visible on many previous outings. The intensity and brightness of the Northern Lights can vary from a gentle glow to quite dramatic curtaining effects. The guest astronomer advises at least an 80% chance of a sighting.
Transportation details:
Valid for direct flights from London Gatwick, Luton, Stansted, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Norwich, East Midlands, Humberside, Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Exeter airports to the same airport as the departure.
Includes only hand luggage (5kg). Check-in bags not allowed.
Travel documents to be received up to 1 day before departure. You must go with your boarding pass printed at the airport, at the risk of having to pay additional charges. This holiday is an ATOL protected holiday. More info here.
