The Parks

Pontins invites holidaymakers to spend a fun-packed summer weekend complemented by entertainment acts and live music at a choice of holiday parks.

Holidaymakers may see appearances from a great selection of children’s TV characters, entertainers, live bands, tribute artists and comedians. The parks offer all-star evening shows for the whole family, as well as children clubs and lots of daytime entertainment. There are tons of activities including indoor and outdoor play areas, go-karts, skate parks and trampolines, crazy golf and a heated indoor swimming pool complete with water walkerz, sea scooters and inflatables. The best thing about Pontins breaks is that so many activities are free of charge.

In Somerset, Brean Sands Holiday Park peers across the sands of the West Country coast to the waves of the Bristol Channel.

Guests can also opt for a stay at Camber Sands Holiday Park, which stretches in the east of Sussex, towards the historic town of Rye.

Overlooking Welsh stretches of countryside, Prestatyn Sands Holiday Park sits just a 30-minute drive from Conwy Castle, enveloped in Areas of Outstanding Beauty dotted with undulating sand dunes and laced by beach expanses.

The seafront Southport Holiday Park is flanked by golf courses and nestled between the award-winning beaches of Southport and golden sand dunes.

Groupon’s Guide To Somerset

Bordered in the North by the Bristol Channel, Somerset is a rural county in South West England, characterised by rolling hills and large flat expanses.

In the area, attractions such as the caves of the Mendip Hills and the henge monument at Stanton Drew stone circles gather visitors from far and wide. On the northern coast of the Bristol Channel, Bridgewater Bay is a National Nature Reserve consisting of large areas of mud flats, saltmarsh, sand flats and shingle ridges, some of which are vegetated and home to over 190 species of overwintering waders and wildfowl.

Groupon’s Guide To East Sussex

Bordered by Kent county to the east and Surrey to the north west, East Sussex is part of the historic county of Sussex, which has its roots in the ancient kingdom of the South Saxons.

Often known for its landscaped grounds and nature trails, the region is home of the Seven Sisters, a series of chalk cliffs, part of the Seven Sisters Country Park, between the towns of Seaford and Eastbourne. Another well-known attraction is the Royal Pavilion, an 18th century royal palace built for King George IV, while holidaymakers may also take a trip to Old Town Hastings, a traditional British town where plenty of antique shops and unusual old buildings may be explored. Located in seaside town of Eastbourne, East Sussex Falconry offers plenty of bird watching opportunities, from the known eagle or hawk to the more exotic white-faced owl.

Groupon’s Guide To Denbighshire

The North Wales county of Denbighshire provides tourists with a wealth of outdoor activities including cycling, fishing, walking and canoeing.

In the market town of Denbigh, visitors may admire the historic sights such as Denbigh Castle, Burgess Gate, St Hilary’s Tower, and Leicester’s Church. Outdoor pursuits also include golfing on the National Championship course set along the River Dee in the Vale of Llangollen, horse-drawn boat trips and hiking in the Berwyn Mountains.

Groupon’s Guide To Southport

Travellers may enjoy the seaside delights of Southport with a leisurely stroll along the pier or on the promenade alongside shimmering Marine Lake, and pop in to the many amusements along the way.

Shopaholics and those with a taste for antique architecture can visit the famous Lord Street boulevard, where a host of boutique and big name stores are framed by Victorian glass canopies. Further attractions worth visiting include the King’s Gardens, spread across 17 acres, the 19th century Hesketh Golf Course and Model Railway Village.

The Southport site is decaying and dirty both inside and out, the activities are often closed/not working, the entertainment is only at night and the place was full of drunken people and kids running round at all times of the night.

The accommodation wasn’t as bad as I was expecting (I was expecting the worst), the bathroom was clean and looked like it was recently renovated, but unfortunately it was just a bath with no shower so needed to use a saucepan to wash my hair like the olden days. The mattresses looked clean, but the pillow and duvets were disgusting so I’m glad I took my own. The floors were dirty, they clearly just get a quick Hoover between people and not cleaned. The table and chairs needed wiping down before we used them too. You do need to pay for the electric, you get £1 free emergency credit, we only used £2.70 for the 3 nights in august so no heating used just cooking and hot water. The resort itself was ok, the entertainment was cheesy and ideal for kids, but the areas were not cleaned, the floors were disgusting and tables were sticky. The slushes were only £1 each, didn’t realise that otherwise we would have probably lived off them for the weekend as the queue for the normal bar was ridiculous. Plenty of bits to keep the kids entertained but just a shame everywhere needs a decent clean

The worst ever resort or budget holiday The place is dirty, windows have spiders crawling, the windows have condensation you cannot see through the glass and the toilets, dirty, hole in the tub . The sofa bed doesn’t’ balance we fell off it and we were meant to sleep on it, the kids mattresses were stained , luckily i bought my own sheets. The first night the electric machines wiped my credit so had to refill which was at 11:30 we had to walk back to reception as no-one on site . Next day the staff was rude and argued like it was my fault after having an argument they then refunded it back. My husband and i cant sleep as we get up with noises in the room im scared to sleep The play area is a rip if for kids not much rides as advertised , it feel We were i a third world country. The service is appalling and to end it all security guard was racist stopped me to check my back but allowed a white woman to pass without checking.
