The Experience

A year-round destination for holidaymakers, Switzerland boasts an ever-changing scenery, ranging from snow-capped mountain peaks and glaciers to lush green valleys or from wild sparkling rivers to palm-lined lakes. Tourists will have the opportunity to admire the Swiss Alps on a train journey and visit some famous resorts such as Lucerne, Interlaken, Zermatt and St. Moritz, where plenty of sightseeing and dining options are available.

The Itinerary

Best Views In Switzerland

• Day 1: Arrival in Lucerne by train from the Swiss border or the airport. Check-in at choice of hotels and board on the public train to Arth Goldau. From the station of Mt. Rigi guests will board the cogwheel train up to Rigi Kulm (1.800m), famous for its 360° view of the Alps and boasting more than 100km of hiking and footpaths. In the late afternoon tourists will descend from Mt. Rigi by cogwheel train to Rigi Kaltbad and further by aerial cable car to Weggis, or continue by cogwheel train to Vitznau for a cruise back to Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne.

• Day 2: Board the train to Interlaken and check-in at choice of hotel. Excursion to Schilthorn - Plz Gloria or the James Bond mountains. Travel by train to Lauterbrunnen, followed by a short bus trip to Stechelberg for an aerial cable car ride to the top of Schilt-horn Plz Gloria at 2970 meters. Travellers will be able to enjoy a view of Elger, Monch and Jungfrau and more than 200 other summits, glaciers and lakes. Guests will also be able to enjoy a 360° panoramic view from the revolving restaurant found on the terrace, and watch the new panorama video show. Overnight in Interlaken.

Glacier Express

• Day 1: Arrival in St. Moritz by train from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport. Overnight stay in St. Moritz.

• Day 2: Guests will board the Glacier Express. Travel for 7.5 hours from St. Moritz to Zermatt across 291 bridges and the Oberalp Pass at 2033 metres. Optional lunch available (enquire on booking). Overnight in Zermatt at choice of hotel.

• Day 3: Return to the Swiss border or airport.
  
  

Classical Switzerland

• Day 1: Arrival in Zermatt by train from the Swiss border or any Swiss airport. Overnight stay in Zermatt at choice of hotel.

• Day 2: Travel by train from the popular Gornergrat Bahn, Europe’s highest open-air cogwheel railway, to Gornergrat. Overnight in Zermatt.

• Day 3: Guests will board the Glacier Express for a 7.5 hours journey to St. Mortitz, across 291 bridges and through 91 tunnels across the Oberalp Pass at 2033 metres.

• Day 4: Free day to explore St. Moritz.

• Day 5: Travel along the UNESCO World Heritage route to Lugano. Overnight stay at choice of hotel.

• Day 6: Return to the Swiss border or airport.
