An indoor swimming pool, mini-gym, jacuzzi and a steam room: all this and more awaits guests to Risley Hall Hotel for a one-day spa package. Between dips in the pool and a steam in the sauna, each guest will receive three 25 minute treatments, including a back, neck and shoulder massage, a facial using Elemis products, and a choice of hand or foot conditioner. A light buffet lunch will also be included, as will towels and robes for a more comfortable experience. Those wanting to extend the pampering can opt for an overnight stay for two people, with spa access on both days. Each person will also receive two treatments and full use of the spa is available after checkout on Monday until the spa closes at 5.30pm.

The Merchant
Situated just outside Derby, Risley Hall Hotel and Spa sits within 10 acres of landscaped grounds, offering a peaceful, rural retreat. The hotel features 16 individually decorated rooms and 19 suites, with guests able to tuck in to fine cuisine and drinks at the on-site restaurant, cocktail bar and drawing room. Historical features abound within the 16th century Baronial Hall, popular with weddings thanks to its romantic high rafted ceiling and mullioned windows. A spa, featuring a mini gym, indoor pool and a jacuzzi, can also be found hidden within the hotel’s grounds.

Risley Hall Hotel and Spa has made quite the impression on guests, picking up a 3.5/5 star rating on TripAdvisor. Guests found the hotel offered easy access to other areas of interest, with many finding the staff gave a 5* welcome. While some felt the hotel and spa area looked a little tired, many found the facilities pleasant.
