Groupon’s Guide to Burnley
The market town of Burnley is located at the confluence of River Calder and River Brun in Lancashire, just a short drive from the cities of Manchester and Preston.
In town, travellers may explore the vast grounds of Towneley Park, which include the famous art gallery and museum that houses a variety of displays, encompassing natural history, Egyptology and decorative art, a golf course and 24 acres of broadleaved woodland. For our little friends, there are plenty of children-friendly activities in the area, including the ‘Little Lancashire Village’ located in Burnley and numerous other theme parks, zoos and water parks in the surrounding area. Tourists may also take a boat trip along the canal or go windsurfing or sailing on Burnley’s, while the ‘Singing Ringing Tree’, a wind-powered sound sculpture, and one of the most iconic artworks in Lancashire awaits high above the moors just outside the city.
