Perched at 1.700m in the Belledonne mountain range, in the chalet village of Bachat-Bouloud, Le Domaine de l’Arselle invites beginners and experienced skiers alike to hit the slopes and experience the majesty of Chamrousse. With ski equipment shops nearby and a 6-day lift pass, guests are welcomed to hone their favourite winter sports skills and admire the coniferous forests that cover the mountain.
Located about 200 metres from the pistes, these apartments come with a fully equipped kitchenette, and some boast altitudinous views from the private terraces. The resort offers an avalanche of after-ski delights including numerous cafes, bars, and shops, while the neighbouring Le Bachat restaurant serves hearty meals and refreshing tipples. A heated outdoor pool and soothing sauna, complemented by a fitness room, offer moments of relaxation after a day on the slopes.
Groupon’s Guide To Chamrousse
Located in the Belledonne mountain range, in Southeastern France, Chamrousse ski resort challenges travellers to conquer its pristine pistes and make the most of local activities such as snowshoe hiking, paragliding, and revved up snowmobile driving.
Stretching from 1,700m to 2,250m, the ski area beckons with views over the surrounding 4,000m summits, while 24 lifts lead guests to 38 slopes with a total length of roughly 90km. Guests may take a trip to the alpine city of Grenoble and visit a wealth of museums and galleries along with a medieval fort whose towers provide views of Mont Blanc. Ste-Claire Market in Grenoble complements its 19th century facade with a bounty of fresh fruit and vegetables, pastries and other local delights.
