Wild Wood Course
Wannabe explorers can venture into the New Forest with this two-day Wild Wood Course, which starts at 10am on Saturday and ends at 2pm on Sunday. The trip is fully catered, apart from lunch, and gives participants the opportunity to get their hands dirty by making fires, building shelters and tracking animals. A kit list will be sent upon booking.

Sunrise Bushcraft Outdoor Academy
Sunrise Bushcraft offers disconnected urbanites the chance to get back to nature, with a variety of woodland survival courses. There are various sessions to pick from, catering to both novices and weathered bushmen alike. Topics include everything from fire building to game butchery masterclasses.
Groupon’s Guide To The New Forest National Park
Established in early 2005, the New Forest National Park covers over 500 square kilometres of scenic landscapes and woodland. Serving as a royal forest for William I around 1079, the park offers archaeological monuments dating back to the Prehistoric times.
Plenty of land and water activities are available in the park, from guided walks, archery, cycling and treasure traits, to canoeing and raft building. For gaming enthusiasts, the park provides activities such as ‘Live Action Video Gaming’, where visitors have a chance to experience a wide variety of military scenarios, while shopping lovers will find souvenirs and local products at traditional markets. The ecological value of the New Forest is enhanced by areas of lowland habitats, such as valley bogs, alder carr, wet heaths, dry heaths and deciduous woodland.
