The Tours
Superbreak invites fans of the Game of Thrones series to discover the famous filming sites in the Northern Ireland. Travellers will have the opportunity to discover the surroundings of Winterfell and many recognisable places around Westeros.
Tour 1 – Winterfell:
The Winterfell Tour will present guests a number of locations where pivotal scenes have taken place. Places include the Tollymore Forest Park, where the dire wolf pups were discovered, and also where the Whitewalker ambush took place. Travellers will stop for lunch at the famous Percy French Restaurant in the seaside town of Newcastle (please note, cost of lunch is not included). Tour continues with Inch Abbey, the site where Lady Catelyn Stark heard of Ned’s death, and where Robb was made King of The North. Audleys Castle & Castle Ward, probably the highlight of this tour, is the location used for King Robert Baratheon’s arrival at Winterfell, and numerous other Scenes featuring the Stark family, including Bran’s archery training.
Tour 2 - Westeros:
Westeros Tour will take guests to Cushendun, the Cave in which Melisandre gave birth to the shadow assassin. The next locaion will be Ballintoy Harbour, where Theon Greyjoy returns to Pyke Harbour. Such a recognisable spot, a plaque has been erected here to commemorate it. Giant’s Causeway – you can’t come this far without visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site, probably Northern Ireland’s most famous attraction. At Larrybane visitors may see the location where Renly swears to Lady Stark that he will avenge Ned’s death, but meets his end at the hands of the shadow assassin birthed in the Cushendun caves visited earlier. The Dark Hedges: possibly the most recognisable of all the filming locations, this is where Arya Stark makes her escape down The Kings Road.
