The Hotel
The Sidings is a conceptual hotel designed to celebrate the romantic heritage of classic 20th century rail travel. Built exclusively from vintage Pullman-style railway carriages and overlooking the York to Thirsk run. Retaining a sharp focus on the fine quality fittings of pre-1960 steam rail, guests will be greeted by a decor of stained wood, fine, polished metal-work and linen tablecloths. The quiet location is an enthusiast’s covert for genuine artefacts and memorabilia.

Guest rooms are converted original Pullman carriages with en suite bathrooms. Each room includes tea and coffee making facilities, a television and a hairdryer.

The restaurant offer an extensive food and wine menu. Part of the carriages have been converted into a dining area which allows tables of four to overlook the track.
