- Acer palmatum Aoyagi - small deciduous tree with bright green maple-like leaves which turn shades of brilliant orange and yellow in autumn
- Acer palmatum Momoiro Koyasan - The leaves first emerge peach-coloured in spring, gradually changing to orange-red and then bronze-green by late summer. The autumn foliage is red
- Acer palmatum Orido-Nishiki - The deep pink and white variegation in Spring is followed by pink, white and green foliage until leaf fall
- Acer palmatum Shaina - The new foliage emerges in spring a vibrant red, and as it ages it deepens in colour, turning rich claret until the autumn when it becomes a brighter shade once again
