British Basketball League Cup Final

The Barclaycard Arena will host the 2016 British Basketball League Cup Final on Sunday 17 January. Sports fans can see Newcastle Eagles and Leicester Riders go head to head for this coveted prize. The Eagles have a team boasting Fab Flournoy, the most successful coach in BBL history, last season’s Most Valuable Player Charles Smith along with star guards Rahmon Fletcher and Joe Chapman. The two teams lock horns for the third time in recent Cup Final history. Spectators can enter the arena from 11.30 a.m. ahead of the midday WBBL Trophy Final. The Barclaycard Arena will be also graced by Britain’s Got Talent finalists dance street group Flawless and BBL cheerleaders. A slam dunk contest will provide further hoop-shooting entertainment before the cup final tip-off at 3.30 p.m.
