Founded in 1991 by musical director Peter Dyson, The Belmont Ensemble of London is one of the busiest and most well-known chamber orchestras in the country. Originally established as a stepping stone for young musicians between conservatories and full-time employment, the orchestra is now a seasoned feature on London's music scene, subsiding solely on box office receipts. With a dedicated core of string players, the ensemble is ready to conquer baroque music, as well as large romantic concertos, choral works and contemporary tunes.
