The Deal
Chaplin’s Circus conjures the excitement of the jazz-age with a rich and varied show set in the 1920s. By way of theatre, pantomime and acrobatics, the performers present the story of a 1920s circus troupe on the brink of bankruptcy. Threatened by a rival circus owner plotting their demise, the ragtag group hatch a last-ditch plan to invent the world’s first human cannon. Shows are held beneath a big top on the grounds of Pendley Manor, a 19th-century country estate. Attendees can take to their seats 45 minutes before the performance.
