The Giant Lanterns of China

This December, an installation of over 450 dazzling giant lanterns will be displayed to the audiences at RZSS Edinburgh Zoo. Guests can take a 1.5mile trip around the zoo to discover illuminated sculptures presenting traditional Chinese themed scenes and lanterns of animals known from the zoo and conservation programmes around the world. Throughout the evening visitors will get the chance to enjoy wintery drinks and snacks and browse through the Christmas market stalls offering handmade crafts from Chinese artisans.

Validity: Valid on date and time specified on Groupon only.
Purchase: Limit 6 per person. May buy 10 additional as gifts.
Restrictions: No booking required. Present printed Groupon on arrival. 14-day cancellation rights do not apply; no refunds or exchanges permitted. Children aged from 3 to 15 years need child ticket to be admitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The route is designed so that wheelchairs and buggies can get around. However, please be aware that the zoo is on a hill. There will not be a mobility vehicle in operation during the events as the route encompasses some smaller pathways not accessible by vehicle. Visitors are unlikely to see any real animals. Daytime zoo entry is not included. Zoo closes at 9pm.
