Foodies Festival
South Park hosts a weekend of gastronomic delights as the Foodies Festival comes to Oxford. The Chefs’ Theatre houses demonstrations and talks from top chefs such as MasterChef winners Tim Anderson and Ping Coombes. The New Tasting Theatre offers Masterclasses in oyster shucking, beekeeping and cheese selecting. Fine tipples are served in the Champagne, Wine and Craft Beer Theatre. Pop-up restaurants serve regional food and drink while the Street Food Avenue offers flavours from around the world. Shop from over 200 artisan producers in the Producers Market, and youngsters can learn to cook at the children’s cookery theatre with live music all day from entertainment stage.
Visitors (usually up to £17) can stay clued up with a handy show guide. Guests may alternatively opt for VIP tickets (usually up to £38) to receive entry to the VIP lounge, a glass of bubbly on arrival, a goody bag and complimentary refreshments as well as select theatre masterclasses which are subject to availability.
