The Event
The Great British Food Festival sees the Grade I listed Harewood House play host to three days of culinary festivities. Professional chefs share cookery tips during live demonstrations while artisan suppliers expound on foodie topics during talks. Baking and eating competitions have prizes at stake while local musicians provide live music. There’s also a raft of children’s entertainment including a clown workshop and kids play area, and guests can access grounds of this 18th century country house including below-stairs areas and a bird garden (entry is usually £10 per adult and £3 per child). Attendees get one recipe booklet per party, and can also make use of free on-site parking.
