On entering the gates of the Norfolk Showground, Reload Festival goers will think they’ve died and gone to ’80s music heaven. Kicking off on Friday 5 September with a Big Top Opening Party for campers from 5pm-11pm, the musical weekend is dubbed as one of the biggest retro events in the country and features such headlining acts as Kool & The Gang, Rick Astley, Go West and The Human League. Individuals can gain entry from Saturday to Sunday with the option to include camping – which encompasses entry to Friday night’s party – or step up to a VIP upgrade which also includes such perks as fast-track entry, a backstage marquee, private toilet area, furnished chill out marquee with DJ and catering, and the possibility of meeting and snapping pics with acts who are feeling up for a mingle with their VIP fans. Campers are free to take their own alcohol onto the site in aluminium can or plastic bottle form, and a family-friendly camping area caters for families with children ages 5-21 years, while a separate general campsite welcomes those aged 21-plus.
