Simply Red
Formed in Manchester in 1985, Simply Red is one of the most known British soul and pop groups. The lead vocalist, Mick Hucknall, has became famous for his honey and whiskey tone, as well as the ability to shift from tender sensuality to full on roaring power in a heartbeat. Singles from their Picture Book album have reached Top 10 hit charts in both UK and US, rocketing the band to an almost-instanteous stardom. Through their career, Simply Red had managed to snag three prestigious BRIT Awards.
