Startrax assembles an evening of high-speed spectacle and metal-to-metal brawls around an oval track at Coventry Stadium. Octane enthusiasts can spectate as saloon cars and hot rods burn rubber, and as female and junior drivers take to the track for separate two-litre banger races. Fans can take their seats from 5.30pm ahead of the 6.30pm start, and stay clued up thanks to a pair of programmes per party.

Groupon Asks Steven Rees of Startrax about the experience of watching stock car racing.
What makes the races special?
"Stock car racing is like watching gladiators in an arena. It's an amazingly brash and colourful experience, and offers a display of deft driving skills with full-contact action. Banger racing, on the other hand, delivers awesome destruction, and is about surviving the carnage."
Describe the experience of watching stock car racing.
"An audience comprised of families, dedicated fans and teams watches on as racers engage in high speeds and full-on contact. Spectators can get up close to the cars and drivers, talk to them and take pictures; there's an informal atmosphere, and drivers love meeting fans."
Do you have any personal experience in racing?
"I raced Big League BriSCA F1 for many years, and more latterly banger racing, until common sense and age took over and I became a promoter. For me, it's the best job on the planet: it's completely adrenaline fuelled."
