The Event
The nostalgic Operation Tutbury Castle immerses guests in the culture and society of the 1940s. There’ll be a multitude of actors playing soldiers and performing displays, armaments and World War Two battle re-enactments, while military vehicles bring the conflict to life. Living history groups will demonstrate what life was like in war-time Britain, and as visitors browse a collection of memorabilia and vintage clothes they can tap their feet to authentic music. Guided tours of the Great Hall will also be running, and the tea room will serve a range of hot and cold food.
