British Athletics Team Trials

The best of Britain will gather in Sheffield on the weekend of 11-12 February 2017 as they compete for the prestigious honour of being crowned British Champion and battle for a place on the British Athletics team for the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade at the start of March. The EIS has become the home of the Indoor Team Trials, playing host to some memorable moments in recent years, and 2016 was no different. James Dasaolu won the blue riband men’s 60m race whilst Asha Philip edged out Dina Asher-Smith to win the women’s equivalent. There were also two British records on day two as Tom Bosworth smashed his own 3000m walk mark and Bethan Davies lowered the women’s British 3000m walk record by 26 seconds.
