• Robust and hardy shrub
• Flower right through summer
• Pink/purple blooms up to 30cm across
• Showy flowers have violet-blue hearts and soft pink outer florets and contrast with the rich chocolate foliage
• Leaves produce a second display in autumn as they fade to deep green followed by amber and golden shades
• Once established this large, deciduous shrub has a neat habit
• Ideal as a border filler, requiring minimal care - even in poorer soils
• At maturity expect a height and spread of 3m
• Supplied as pot-grown plants in 9cm pots

Care Instructions:

• Prefers a sunny or semi-shaded position, with shelter from cold, drying winds
• Grow hydrangea plants in any rich fertile, moist soil
• Improve the soil prior to planting by adding plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply
• Alternatively plant in patio containers in soil-based compost
• Water regularly until plants are fully established
• Leave the faded hydrangea flower heads in place until the new buds swell in spring to protect the delicate buds from frost damage
