The Deal

Go behind the scenes of a traditional distillery, complete with wooden wash-backs and copper stills, during this tour which lasts approximately 75 minutes. It’ll cover the various stages of the distillation process, from malting and mashing to fermentation, maturation and bottling. A tutored tasting session will acquaint visitors with the flavoursome drops, letting them sip two drams each of their choice. Tipples include a 10, 12 or 14 Arran Gold whisky cream liqueur, as well as one other drink of choice. The tour runs six days a week at 11.45am and 2.30pm, with an extra 1.15pm start time on Saturdays.

The Merchant

Isle of Arran Distillers has been producing Scottish malts since 1995, set amongst the verdant Arran countryside with its glens and lochs. Guests are free to explore the site during a tour, allowing them to learn all about mashing, fermentation and maturation. An array of single malt whiskies are produced and available at the online shop, including limited edition drops and blends as well as liqueur. Those wishing to deepen their involvement with Arran Malt can become a White Stag, making them brand ambassadors and giving them a host of benefits.
