About Keighley and Worth Valley Railway
A preserved standard gauge line, Keighley and Worth Valley Railway joins the national network at Keighley and runs five miles up the valleys of the River Worth and Bridgehouse Beck to Oxenhope. After closure of the line by British Railways in 1962, the Preservation Society was formed to ensure the return of the daily passenger service to the valley area. Nowadays, the railway offers weekend journeys all year round and daily ones during the summer, as well as organising special events. Among those, patrons can enjoy Santa Steam Specials, Vintage Train Sundays and Beer and Music Festival.
