The Deal
Paddle in hand, beginner kayaks can get to grips with the sport during a 60-minute taster session. Experienced instructors explain the tenets of the sport at participant’s own pace, focusing on building pupils’ confidence in the water. The group will then be led off on a watery tour departing from the centre in Queens Dock, through the South Liverpool Docklands, and up towards Albert Dock, before returning. Sessions are held between Tuesday and Friday, and all clients need to bring is a change of clothing, shoes and towel.

The Merchant
Designed by the same architects behind the creation of the London Eye, Liverpool Watersports Centre sits just 15 minutes from the historically significant World Heritage Pier Head and Albert Dock. Tuition is available in a variety of water sports, including windsurfing, powerboating, dinghy sailing, canoeing and kayaking. The centre accommodates groups ranging from stag and hen parties to school holiday camps, with equipment and vessels also available for hire.
