- Compact habit with stable flower colour
- Buds of blackish-red open to produce magnificent scented, deep maroon, tulip-shaped flowers
- Flowering lasts for several weeks in spring, often followed by a second flowering in mid-summer
- Magnolia 'Genie' is a hardy, deciduous shrub, although windy sites and frost pockets are best avoided
- At maturity expect a height of 4m (13') and a spread of 1.5m (5')
- Supplied as a pot-grown plant in a 9cm nursery pot
- For best garden performance position in full sun when planting
- Full planting and aftercare instructions will be supplied
