- Hardy perennial tree
- Produces pale pink, goblet-shaped flowers with deep rose blush on outer petals
- Blooming period: April to May
- Ideal for growing in small gardens, patios or garden borders
- Flowers appear on the bare branches before green foliage emerges
- Can be suitable for providing colour to the garden
- Supplied as a bare-root plant
- Low maintenance
- Plant in a sunny or semi-shaded position, protected from cold winds and hard spring frosts
- Magnolias prefer rich, moist, well-drained, acid-to-neutral soil
- At maturity expect a height and spread of 180 cm
- Supplied as bare root plants
Note:
- These bare root plants are lifted from the nursery field when dormant, so they often look dead on arrival, but they are just resting and will establish quickly for a strong start in the garden come spring
- Set these at the same level as the nursery, using the soil line at the base of the stem
- Stake trees, taller shrubs and roses to prevent root disturbance
