- Plant in a sunny or semi-shaded position with protection from cold winds and hard spring frosts
- Plant in rich, moist, well-drained, acid-to-neutral soil
- A large shrub ideal for growing in wide borders or planting as a stand-alone specimen
- At maturity expect a height of 180cm and a spread of 180cm
- Plants supplied as bare roots, ideal for planting now
- Full planting and aftercare instructions will be supplied
Note: These bare root plants are lifted from the nursery field when dormant, and sent to you in late autumn or spring for planting. They often look dead on arrival, but they are just resting and will establish quickly for a strong start in the garden. Set these at the same level as they were in the nursery field – you should see a soil line at the base of the stem. Stake trees, taller shrubs and roses to prevent root disturbance.
