The 4* Mercure London Bloomsbury serves up a traditional afternoon tea with a twist. Guests can enjoy a choice of fresh tea or coffee alongside finger sandwiches with fillings including smoked salmon with cream cheese, cucumber, and chicken Caesar. Guests can then indulge a sweet tooth with assorted plain and fruit scones served with clotted cream, fruit preserve and a selection of assorted cakes and pastries (usually £24.95). To give the afternoon a lively vibe, up to six diners can sip on a glass of Prosecco each or, if feeling more adventurous, add a strawberry Jammy Dodger or chocolate Martini cocktail each (£9).
