The Big Day

Newly-weds can celebrate their nuptials with a wedding reception for up to 50 guests at the four star Mercure Milton Keynes Abbey Hill. Once everyone has arrived and enjoyed a tipple at the drinks reception, the Watling Suite can be the setting for a three-course wedding breakfast, chosen by the happy couple beforehand. Dishes could include herb-crust rump of lamb, chicken breast with paprika potatoes or wild mushroom risotto, followed by desserts such as Eton mess and caramelised lemon tart. Celebrations can continue into the evening with a buffet for 70 guests, made up of three platters of choice, alongside space to dance the night away. Guests will have access to the main bar which opens onto the decked garden, and will receive preferential room rates if wishing to stay overnight. Once the festivities are over, the newly-weds can retire to their room and enjoy breakfast in the morning.
