The Event

Giant beers, schlager music and lederhosen will descend on Princes Street Gardens West for the revels of Edinburgh Oktoberfest 2014. The party comes straight from Munich, capturing the German spirit with wooden benches and a huge top tent styled as a Bavarian beer hall. Steins will be filled to the brim with signature beer, while upbeat tunes from Cowboy und Indianer and Himmelhunden are likely to involve a fair few sing-along sessions.

Customers can pull up a pew or dance on the tables on a Wednesday or Thursday evening. With a glass of Schlumberger to get the party started, guests will also receive a meal at their VIP seats. All served by staff in traditional dress of dirndls and lederhosens.
