The Merchant

Painswick House sits in the midst of the intricately landscaped Painswick Rococo Gardens, where fields of flowers and the twists and turns of a maze are among a wealth of natural attractions. The garden walk takes around one hour and weaves nature-lovers through the herbaceous borders of the Kitchen Garden and the smaller buildings that are dotted around the site. The private house features a restaurant serving home-cooked goods and light lunches, while the gift shop should keep trinket fans suitably entertained.
