Activities & Lifestyle

Staying in Mestre, you will discover another, more modern, face of Venice. Just take the T1 tram near the hotel to cross the lagoon and you will reach the historic centre of Venice in about 20 minutes.



Once in the heart of Venice, head over to St. Mark's Square with its throngs of pigeons to visit the Basilica, the Doge's Palace and see the famous Bridge of Sighs. Climb to the top of the Campanile for a panoramic view of the old town and the lagoon. Take a gondola ride on the Grand Canal and admire the colourful palazzi that line its banks. In the evening, take a moment to relax, sitting comfortably on the hotel's terrace.

Please be advised that in accordance with the latest regulations of the local government of Venice, entry to the city of Venice is subject to an access fee from 18 April to 27 July 2025 (see specific dates below), unless the visitor falls into one of the categories entitling him or her to exemption from payment. Kindly note that the access fee will be charged between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. To qualify for exemption, please register and obtain the relevant exemption voucher.

The following exceptions apply:

1. Guests staying in accommodation in the city of Venice and paying the tourist tax are exempt from the Access Charge, but must still have a QR code indicating the stay.

2. Minors under the age of 14 are exempt from paying the Access Charge. Should it not be obvious, proof of age may be provided in the form of an identity document.

Here are the key steps to obtain your QR code:
1. Visit the official website https://cda.ve.it/en/ , then select "Exemption request".

2. Select "I am a guest in an accommodation in Venice" and click on "Exemption request".

3. Enter your arrival and departure dates.

4. In the data entry screen, use the accommodation number XXXXXX and select the option YYYYY as a guest of this establishment.

5. Add the names of other guests under "Add guest".

6. You will receive your QR code electronically. Be sure to save a digital copy.

It is imperative that any vouchers acquired are kept in digital format. Once verified, they must be presented to authorised personnel at the relevant access points throughout the city.

Good to know

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.

Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

For safety reasons, the wellbeing facilities of most establishments are not accessible to children under 16 years old. Similarly, it is possible that some amenities or services require an additional charge or are unavailable for exceptional reasons.

Transportation

In order to best organise your time in the airport, we advise that you arrive 2 hours before boarding for a medium-haul flight, or 3 hours before boarding for a long-haul flight (more than 5 hours). Take advantage of your early arrival to pass through security and check your luggage.

IDENTITY

Please be sure to verify that your necessary Identification documents (passport and/or ID card dependent upon the country to which you will be travelling) have valid expiration dates, i.e. verify your ID documents have not yet expired. Also, be sure to remember to bring these necessary documents with you. It is also recommended to make copies of all travel documents in the event of an emergency.
