HOTEL LA PLAYA ORIENT BAY

Somewhere north-east of St. Martin there is a charming village surrounded by a turquoise sea and small green mountains; Orient Bay. Directly located on Orient Bay beach, La Playa has been completely rebuilt and will reopen in May 2019 after total renovation. The hotel has 56 spacious Junior Suites spread over small units (2 floors), a freshwater swimming pool, a private beach with deckchairs and "La Playa" a Bar/Restaurant in an exceptional setting for breakfast facing the sea, right on the sand. Under the radiant sunshine of the West Indies, time no longer has a hold.

Designed to accommodate up to 2 people with a 2x2m king-size bed and a sitting area, this room also has a small fridge, a coffee maker and an electric kettle. The newly redesigned bathrooms are equipped with a walk-in shower.



Classic Junior Suite [48m²]

This room offers high quality, comfortable living space with a contemporary, authentic style. It is located on the ground floor and does not have a kitchen. Designed to accommodate up to 2 people with a 2x2m king-size bed and a lounge area, this room also has a small fridge, a coffee maker and an electric kettle. The new bathrooms are equipped with a walk-in shower.



Premium Junior Suite [48m²]

This room overlooking the garden has been renovated with tropical decor. You can have your groceries delivered to prepare meals in your kitchenette. The layout promises long hours of relaxation both on the lounge and on the balcony.

Maximum accommodation capacity: 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children

This room overlooking the beach has been renovated with tropical decor. You can have your groceries delivered to prepare meals in your kitchenette. The layout promises long hours of relaxation both on the lounge and on the balcony.

Activities & Lifestyle

Playa Orient Bay is a paradise for relaxation, but also for enjoying water sports. The sun seems to shine even brighter at the edge of its large swimming pool as well as on the beach,



The hotel's water sports centre offers a wide range of activities such as jet-skiing, banana boating or parachuting to take you to new heights. For moments of absolute relaxation, you won't do better than a massage session at the wellness centre. In the surrounding area, bowling alleys and golf courses offer a variety of delights. Hiking trails are also ready for exploration.

Good to know

If you are travelling alone, you will be asked to pay a surcharge for a single room. This additional charge will be automatically included in your quote.

Child rates will be applied for children from 2 to 12 years old in the case where the child shares the room with two adults. If the child is travelling with just one adult, the surcharge may be applied on an adult basis. If your child or children do not fit into the age group mentioned above, the rate will be communicated to you at the time of processing your order. If the room is equipped with a bunk bed, the bed height is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

Transportation

The government of Sint Maarten has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 insurance for all travelers with destination Sint Maarten with the exception of Sint Maarten residents, transit passengers departing the same day (checkbox), flight crews (checkbox), transiting cruise ship crews (checkbox), French nationals residing in France or a French territory, BES-ZVK insured (checkbox) and AUC faculty and students (special procedure).
