Your detailed itinerary

DAY 1 - MONTREAL AIRPORT - MONTREAL

Arrival at Montreal airport and collection of the rental vehicle. Welcome to Canada!

Montreal is the second largest French-speaking city after Paris: a city of contrasts with its historic Old Port and modern downtown. Explore the historic district of Old Montreal, originally named Ville Marie by the first settlers, the most charming part of the city. You will have the opportunity to visit the famous Place Jacques Cartier and the magnificent City Hall.

No meals included. Overnight in Montreal.

DAY 2 - QUEBEC

Quebec City is the capital of the province of Quebec, the oldest city in Canada. Behind its high stone walls, admire the star-shaped citadel and the impressive fortifications. Stop by the Parliament before exploring the Old Port, Place Royale, and Petit-Champlain. A lunch or dinner in a traditional sugar shack is highly recommended. There, you will discover the traditional art of maple syrup production before enjoying a memorable meal!

No meals included. Overnight in Quebec.

DAY 3 - QUEBEC

Don't miss the visit to the impressive Montmorency Falls, a natural wonder that is taller than Niagara Falls. If you're not afraid of heights, you can even zip line across them for an unforgettable experience.

Next, head to Jacques-Cartier National Park. The park boasts a beautiful glacial valley, the Jacques-Cartier Valley, a spectacular channel about 600 metres deep through which one of Quebec's most beautiful rivers winds. It's a true paradise for nature lovers where you can observe wildlife: moose, caribou, deer, wolves, foxes, river otters, and black bears. We recommend a traditional rabaska canoe trip.

No meals included. Overnight in Quebec City.

DAY 4 - CHARLEVOIX

If you didn't have time to visit Jacques-Cartier National Park the previous day, plan a stop there this morning. Designated a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, the Charlevoix region is where the sea meets the mountains: steep cliffs, exceptional parks, impressive villas, and charming villages nestled at the foot of hills or in peaceful coves.

Start with a visit to Baie-Saint-Paul. Founded over 350 years ago, it is one of Quebec's oldest and most charming towns. Surrounded by the sea, mountains, and the great outdoors, Baie-Saint-Paul has long been a favourite destination for artists and has largely preserved its cultural heritage, including its century-old houses. Stroll through its narrow streets, lined with quaint shops and art galleries, before discovering the tranquillity of its beach.

Then take Route 362. This stretch of road is spectacular. Known as the St. Lawrence Route, it is one of Canada's most beautiful scenic drives. It will lead you to La Malbaie, where you can stroll along the lovely Quai Street in Pointe-au-Pic or climb the Chemin des Falaises to discover bourgeois houses from the last century in an exceptional setting. Don't forget to visit the iconic Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu and walk along the cycle path that runs alongside the river.

No meals included. Overnight in Charlevoix.

DAY 5 - CHARLEVOIX

The main attraction of the region is the magnificent Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park. The park is named after a series of valleys carved into a range of high mountains reaching over 1,000 metres in altitude. The steep slopes, the beauty of nature, and the unusual course of the Malbaie River make it an exceptional and unique site.

No meals included. Overnight stay in Charlevoix.

DAY 6 - SAGUENAY

Explore the magnificent Saguenay Fjord National Park, a natural wonder with 100 kilometres of hiking trails to admire this preserved region.

No meals included. Overnight stay in Saguenay.

DAY 7 - SAGUENAY

If you wish to continue exploring wildlife, the St-Félicien Wildlife Zoo will meet your expectations. With a 4.5 km pedestrian section, 90 species, and 1,000 animals, it is one of the largest zoos in Canada.

Now it's time to step back in time by visiting the historic village of Val Jalbert. A true open-air museum, Val Jalbert is a reconstruction of a 1920s village. It's a unique opportunity to experience life from the last century through an exciting journey, punctuated by immersive live shows.

No meals included. Overnight in Saguenay.

DAY 8 - MAURICIE

The Mauricie National Park is a wilderness area located in one of the world's oldest mountain ranges, the southern Laurentians on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River. With 150 lakes and 536 km² of forests inhabited by wildlife, it is an exceptional preserved space. Numerous activities are offered: kayaking, canoeing, swimming, hiking, etc.

No meals included. Overnight in Mauricie.

DAY 9 - MAURICIE

We recommend a guided tour with a professional guide to enjoy observing black bears in their natural habitat or a seaplane excursion to discover the park's natural beauty from above. You can also visit Trois-Rivières. Founded in 1634, it is the second oldest city in North America.

No meals. Overnight in Mauricie.

DAY 10 - OTTAWA

If you want to learn more about Canada's wildlife and flora, make a stop at Omega Park.

Then continue to Ottawa, the capital of Canada. You will enjoy visiting the Rideau Canal and the government buildings on Parliament Hill. Many other attractions are recommended: ByWard Market, Embassy Row, Gatineau Park. You can learn more about Canada at the Canadian Museum of History to discover collections that illuminate the country's history and the cultural diversity of its population.

No meals. Overnight in Ottawa.

DAY 11 - MONTREAL

Today, return to Montreal. Explore the city centre and don't miss the Place Ville Marie observatory with its unique view of the city, 185 metres above the ground, and another city feature: an underground network of cafes, restaurants, and shops.

No meals included. Overnight in Montreal.

DAY 12 - MONTREAL

Two other districts are particularly recommended: the Latin Quarter and Mont Royal with its Saint Joseph's Oratory Basilica and park, a magnificent 200-hectare urban green space. If you have time left, we recommend visiting the Olympic Park where you can enjoy a tour of the botanical garden, the Biodome, the Olympic Stadium, or the Insectarium. Excursion suggestions: Guided tour of Old Montreal, Place Ville Marie Observatory, guided tour of Mount Royal Park.

No meals included. Overnight in Montreal.

DAY 13 - MONTREAL - MONTREAL AIRPORT

Drive to Montreal Airport to return the rental vehicle and catch the return flight. End of the Canadian stay.
