DAY 2 | First Steps in Vibrant Malacca

Situated at the crossroads of maritime routes between the South China Sea and the Indian Ocean, Malacca boasts a rich heritage. Throughout history, the city has attracted Portuguese, Dutch, and British colonisers and has retained a unique cultural blend in Asia.
Stroll through the Chinatown district and/or visit the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple.
Other sites of interest not to be missed include the ruins of St. Paul's Church and the beautiful Kampong Kling Mosque.
Overnight in Malacca.
DAY 3 | Blended Cultures and Architectural Icons
Breakfast at the hotel.
Depart from the port city of Malacca and head back towards Kuala Lumpur. You will stop in the country's administrative capital, Putrajaya, located about twenty kilometres from Kuala Lumpur.
You will have the opportunity to visit the immense Putra Mosque, whose colourful construction stands out completely from the city's modern landscape.
Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.
DAY 4 | The urban adventure begins here in Kuala Lumpur
Breakfast at the hotel.
Enjoy your free time to do as you please and explore Kuala Lumpur. Begin your walk by visiting the city's oldest mosque, Masjid Jamek, then wander through the streets of Little India and Chinatown, districts with timeless charm. In the afternoon, take a stroll around Merdeka Square, the Independence Square.
At the end of the day, why not ascend to the top of the Menara Tower, which stands at 421 metres. In the evening, dine at one of the many restaurants in the city and enjoy the Petronas Towers illuminated at nightfall.
Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.
DAY 5 | Ipoh, where heritage, cuisine, and urban jungle meet
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, take a half-day tour and visit the famous Batu Caves. One of the highlights is a visit to the Royal Selangor Pewter, which houses the world's largest and most modern pewter factory, internationally renowned for its high quality and craftsmanship.
Next, you will stop at a batik factory to see how batik is designed and printed on fabric. The final stop is at the limestone hills of the Batu Caves, a rocky outcrop that houses a Hindu temple dedicated to Murugan, son of Shiva and brother of Ganesh. The Batu Cave is a renowned pilgrimage site for Hindus during the Thaipusam festival. After the visit, you will return to the hotel.
Head to Ipoh. This half-day will be dedicated to visiting the caves of Ipoh. The first stop is at the Sam Poh Tong cave temple, one of the oldest and most famous temples in Ipoh. Travellers can admire beautiful Buddhist statues and altars, as well as a superb Chinese garden with a turtle pond. This place also offers great photo opportunities.
The tour then continues with the Kek Lok Tong cave temple, known for its impressive golden Buddha statues and exceptional natural setting. At the back of the temple, a peaceful zen garden and lotus pond invite relaxation in a serene atmosphere. During this stop, we recommend trying the famous Tau Fu Fah, a sweet soy pudding, or enjoying a typical Ipoh white coffee.
Overnight in Ipoh.
DAY 6 | Heritage, history and flavours along Ipoh
Breakfast at the hotel.
This day is dedicated to exploring the city of Ipoh. We recommend starting at the railway station, a magnificent colonial building designed by the renowned architect Arthur Bennison Hubback in 1917. The Majestic Hotel is housed in an annexe of the station and is also affectionately known by locals as the Taj Mahal of Ipoh. Opposite the station are Ipoh's Town Hall and Post Office, both of which have been there since the First World War. Also close by are the Royal Ipoh Club and the imposing St Michael's Institution. Built in 1908, the Padang Mosque has Mughal architecture with features similar to Delhi's Red Fort. Near the Padang is the FMS (Federated Malay States Bar and Restaurant), an old local restaurant established in 1923. Another place worth visiting is the Ipoh Padang, which was created to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1898.
Next, the tour moves on to the Birch Memorial, which was built in 1909 to commemorate Perak's first British Resident. The tour then continues to the Ipoh Mosque, also known as the Sultan Idris II Mosque.
Next is Concubine Lane, also known as Panglima Lane, a narrow street in Ipoh's old town that was established in 1908. It was once a residential area where wealthy Chinese businessmen and British officers kept their concubines and mistresses in townhouses. The area was also renowned for gambling, prostitution and opium. Today, the alleyway has been transformed into a tourist enclave filled with shops and cafés, and is a must-visit for anyone travelling to Ipoh. There are many local restaurants where you can sample the various specialities and cuisines for which Ipoh is famous.
Overnight in Ipoh.
DAY 7 | Local Flavours and Bohemian Atmosphere
Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, you will head towards Penang Island, the "Pearl of the Orient". To get there, you will cross one of the longest bridges in the world. The day is dedicated to exploring the island's capital: Georgetown, a true multicultural mosaic listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Penang was an important port on Asia's trade routes. Chinese, Indians, Malays, Thais, Burmese, English, and Middle Eastern traders make up a diverse population.
You will visit the city's iconic landmarks, such as Fort Cornwallis by the sea, the Blue Mansion (it is advisable to book in advance) on Leith Street, and the magnificent Chinese house Khoo Kongsi. Stroll along and enjoy the murals. Street Art is part of the city's cultural heritage.
At midday, enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants and cafes in the city.
Overnight in George Town.
DAY 8 | Escape to George Town
Breakfast at the hotel.
Embark on an unforgettable day of escape to the west of Penang! Begin your adventure at the majestic Kek Lok Si Temple, one of the largest Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia. Amidst glittering pagodas, richly decorated pavilions, and tranquil gardens, be amazed by the imposing statue of Kuan Yin, the goddess of mercy, which proudly overlooks the hill.
Climb its zigzagging stairs and enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the region, while admiring the colourful details that showcase exceptional craftsmanship.
Continue your getaway to Penang Hill: at 833 metres above sea level, it promises fresh air and magnificent panoramas. Board the funicular or opt for a hike through the heart of the rainforest.
At the summit, discover botanical gardens, nature trails, delightful restaurants, and the spectacular site of The Habitat. And to end the day beautifully? A blazing sunset over the Straits of Malacca, a memory etched forever.
