Kids can pick up the basics of boating while adults earn a National Powerboat Certificate with these RYA Level 1 and 2 courses
About This Deal
The Deal
These powerboat programmes aim to introduce children and adults to the thrills of waterborne piloting. The RYA Level 1 course sees kids learn basic boat-handling techniques and water safety over a full day of private tuition. The RYA Level 2 course is known as the driving license for powerboats, and imparts fundamental skills to students aged 12 and above. Over two days they’ll wise up on launching and recovery, mooring, high-speed handling, chart work and tides. Both courses include complimentary tea and coffee, hire of waterproofs and life jacket, a logbook and handbook. Both result in a certificate, with the Level 2 certificate able to be swapped for an International Certificate of Competence. Students on the Level 2 course can also take the CEVNI test free of charge, and have the option to take a direct assessment if they have one season’s prior experience.
Choose from the following options for an RYA powerboat course:
-
£99 for a Level 1 course (38% off)
-
£139.95 for a Level 2 course (50% off)
