Good for a morning or afternoon, its quite a small zoo but for the price I paid on here its worth they money. I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price on the day as its not worth the cost of a full price ticket. It took me 3 hours to go round twice with children and have food with them during that time. You're not allowed to take picnics or food in with you either you have to purchase food from inside the zoo, if you want to eat. Overall a good afternoon out if you're already in the area.

Absolutely brilliant day out , good value for money , the interaction with the animals is brilliant , would recommend to anyone to go and make a day of it .

The park was great, plenty to see and do. The let down was the cafe, No one seemed to know what they were doing and they argued with eachother in front of customers. My family and others were ignored for ages, they never even looked towards the counter. The food wasn’t great when it finally arrived and it’s way overpriced. Last time we came it was brilliant. Won’t be in a hurry to return.

Was amazing made even better by getting a Groupon. Could easily spend whole day here. Bit we did it in 2.5hours

Wide range of animals to see in large enclosures.

The park is very run-down and whole experience was not enjoyable , we made the best of it but it seems the whole park is in need of a makeover , not many animals to see and lack of public cafe /restaurant and the need for a nice cafe style meal !! We went as a family and friends group to celebrAte a birthday in a group of 9 , most disappointing

My family and I had a brilliant time when we visited the South Lakes Safari zoo. We were greeted at the door by a really friendly member of the team and she explained the guidelines to us and directed us where to go. The animals were brilliant! For my family and I, it was the first time seeing some of the animals up close and not on the tv. Walking through the Kangaroos, various birds and Prairie dogs was great, the children were amazed at how close the animals came to them. I would highly recommend visiting as a family day out.

A great day out with plenty of animals to see and for some the opportunity to get up close. It’s worth buying a map to get money off food vouchers.
