The Deal

Children can take their first steps towards learning sign language with an online course (usually £365) from Primary Sign Language. Participants can go through the 13 modules at their own pace, learning words associated with weather, animals, emotions and other topics. They can watch demonstrations, designed specifically for children and then repeat the signs they are shown. As they work through the modules they can test their new skills through games and questionnaire worksheets.

The Merchant

Primary Sign Language was established in 2006, with the aim of improving communication between the hearing and deaf communities, starting from an early age. They provide learning tools for children, both for parents to work through at home or teachers to use in school. The interactive online system allows participants to choose learning modules, and uses flash technology to provide a fun learning resource that incorporates games to aid learning and memory.
