Boiler Breakdown Cover: nationwide coverage, unlimited callouts, claim limit per claim of up to £500, parts and labour, boiler breakdown, annual boiler service, operational safety checks, contribution towards replacement (terms and conditions apply). Excess: £50 per claim. Major exclusions: any incident which occurs in the first 14 days after the policy commencement date. Repairs when the engineer deems the boiler to be beyond economic repair. Home emergency cover: plumbing, electrical, external locks, doors and windows, blocked pipes, pests, lost keys central heating, cover, boiler breakdown, alternative accommodation, roofing. £500 claim limit on all, other than boiler breakdown. £50 excess. Emergency Boiler Breakdown Cover. The merchant shall assist in and pay for the call out, labour, parts and materials involved in repairing or rectifying the breakdown of the domestic boiler at home. In the event of an emergency, the merchant will undertake to obtain spare parts as quickly as is reasonably possible. In the event it takes more than 60 hours to achieve this from the first point at which the merchant's approved engineer visits the client and diagnoses the requirement, the merchant will pay a fixed benefit of £40 toward providing alternative heating. In the event the domestic boiler is declared beyond economical repair and is under seven years old, the merchant will make a contribution of £300 towards replacing it. Plumbing and Drainage Insurance: external water supply pipe - the merchant will assist the client in an emergency for any blockage, collapse or leakage of the water supply pipe from and including the main stopcock for the client's home up to where it is connected to the public water main/communication pipe if the client is responsible for this. Plumbing - the merchant will assist the client to stop the emergency which has arisen from the sudden and unexpected failure of, or damage to, the internal plumbing (including the central heating pipes and radiator valves) within the home which has or may result in internal water leakage, flooding or water damage to the home. Drainage - the merchant will assist the client to stop the emergency which has arisen from the sudden and unexpected failure of or damage to the drainage system of the client's home. Major exclusions: 1. General maintenance. 2. Leaks from any household appliances, sink, shower or bath where leakage only occurs when the appliance is in use. 3. Damage resulting from lack of proper maintenance. 4. Any work required on a water supply pipe outside the boundary of the client's property. 5. Any incident within the deferment period after the commencement date of the policy. 6. Cost of permanent repair. Claim limit: £250 per claim. Excess fee: £50.
