Sit down to a full afternoon tea (usually £15 per person) in the plush surroundings of this Wiltshire hotel. A selection of finger sandwiches and homemade cakes will be on-hand for guests, served with hot buttered crumpets and a choice of jam. A pair of homemade scones complete the range of treats, complete with the traditional clotted cream and preserves. Each visitor will also receive iced elderflower cordial as well as a choice of tea. Tables are available seven days a week, with guests able to opt to include a glass of prosecco each (£4.95 per person) to add a touch of sparkle to proceedings.

The Merchant

Located in Stanton St Quintin, a short drive north of Chippenham, Stanton Manor offers guests a collection of 23 en-suite bedrooms, surrounded by Wiltshire countryside.
