Participants can hone their survival skills with a one-day bushcraft course (usually £99). One or two can head out into the New Forest with Sunrise Bushcraft and learn how to get on without modern amenities, including how to make the most of fire, water, shelter, wild plants and sources of food. Knife and axe use are also on the agenda, along with all-important field hygiene and medicinal plants.
