- Even though Datacenter licenses support unlimited VMs, you must license all physical cores — minimum 16 cores per server, 8 cores per physical processor.
- For instance: Installing on a 32-core server using only a 16-core license may work technically, but violates Microsoft’s terms and is considered under-licensing. This can result in:
